Solidarity hunters at the 2nd Pro CALCIT Trophy in Arezzo organized by the National Union of Enalcaccia PT of Arezzo.
Organized by the Enalcaccia Provincial Section and the Enalcaccia di Pratantico club, with the patronage of the Province of Arezzo, the 18nd Pro Calcit Trophy was held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 2 May in Arezzo. The trophy, consisting of a dog competition on freed quail organized at the dog training area "Il Ponte di Pratantico", saw the participation of 150 registered dogs, demonstrating that hunters know how to be always sensitive and attentive to the needs of weak people. and needy. The event, very popular for its noble purpose - the collection of proceeds to be donated to Calcit in Arezzo - Autonomous Committee on Tumors, has become a very popular dog race among hunters, who also come in large numbers from other Tuscan provinces. and from nearby Umbria, to offer their contribution of solidarity, but also to contribute to winning the coveted trophy.
Commendable the work carried out by the managers of the dog training area Giancarlo and Manuela Giusti, true architects of the initiative, who worked hard to ensure that the organizational machine worked perfectly; the members of the jury, for the two days of competition, were the Enalcaccia National Dog Judges Giorgio Mencaroni and Angelo Mobilia, appreciated by all the participants for their professionalism and impartiality. At the barrage test, the now veteran Arturo Salzillo prevailed with the YES Picasso, a dog that demonstrated excellent typicality of the breed, winning the important trophy put up for grabs; second place went to Marcello Fortini from Perugia with Cok. Nero; Attilio Pannoli from Arezzo with Rambo EB took third place.
The award ceremony was chaired by the Provincial President and National Councilor Enalcaccia Iacopo Piantini who, in his speech, said he was satisfied with the results achieved, expressing words of recognition and praise towards the competitors, an essential element of the noble initiative. A particular thanks was addressed to the sponsoring companies, first of which Marconi Arredamenti and Nofri Preziosi of Arezzo, for having offered beautiful prizes for the occasion. The sum raised at the end of the initiative, for a total of 2540 euros, was entirely donated to Calcit of Arezzo.
