FLORENCE - Spotlights on the starling. In Tuscany, the debate on this species of birds is reopened, which in Italy are not huntable, but whose presence is considered excessive and pointed out as responsible for increasing damage to agriculture, urban areas and cities of art.
La The Tuscan Regional Authority collaborates in two national level initiatives which intend on the one hand urge the European Union to bring it back canceled among the species that can be hunted from next season, on the other hand, verify the feasibility of the measures levy in derogation.
The first of the two initiatives is promoted by Hunting Federation, in collaboration with the Region, and will be held in San Rossore. The second is organized by provinces of Pistoia, Pisa and Florence always in collaboration with the Region and will be held in Pistoia.
The two initiatives and the objectives that are pursued will be illustrated during a press conference to be held at the presidency of the Tuscany Region, in Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati in Florence, on May 5 at 11,30.
The councilor for agriculture and forestry, hunting and fishing, Gianni Salvadori, will be present for the Tuscany Region. For the Federcaccia there will be the national president, Gian Luca Dall'Olio. For the Province of Pistoia the councilor for hunting Rino Fragai.
