Simon Caselli, Councilor for Agriculture of the Emilia Romagna region, has been very clear in these hours in addressing the hunting world. According to the local authority, in fact, Emilian and Romagna hunters should do more in terms of killing of wild boars. For Caselli, however, many of them would be hesitating and remaining "anchored" to the traditional idea of hunting between the months of October and December.
The presence of ungulates, in addition to that of fallow deer, roe deer and red deer it is impressive, without forgetting the growing number of road accidents. In addition, many people even prefer not to report the accident, confirming a worrying and widespread phenomenon. The wildlife plan provides for the use of acoustic bollards, sensors, ultrasounds and signs of all kinds, but these remedies cannot suffice alone. This is why the Emilia Romagna Region would like more help from hunters, despite the fact that Caselli herself is convinced that the hunting category is losing many adhesions.
"Not everyone, but a part of the hunting world does not like to commit all year", this is the conclusion of his reasoning. Other criticisms are the following: "For many there is the fear that in October, when the hunting season opens, there are not enough animals, we tried to convince them that we have an abundance of wild boars, but there was no way. Many hunters live in the area as if it were their management, forgetting that there is also a responsibility towards the whole community ”.
