In Friuli Venezia Giulia we talk about nothing else, the anti-hunts have triggered a controversy that does not seem to have an end and that concerns the changes to the just approved regional law on hunting activity. For this reason Dario Buscema, deputy coordinator of the stable structure in Pordenone del Hunting and Fish Resources Service of the Region, intervened to clarify some aspects.
First of all, the contested norms are the most important of the text. In particular, the law provides that the Hunting Reserves intervene in the recovery and killing of ungulates seriously injured following a road accident. Buscema explained how this reliance is right and proper, given that the Reserves themselves have adequate facilities for the treatment of meat.
Another controversy concerns the wood pigeons that can be taken every day: there are 25 birds, a number that for the Hunting Service corresponds to the quantity that can be taken for migratory game indicated by ISPRA. A further clarification is that relating to times and periods of wild boar hunting: also in this case the indications of the Institute have been followed, in addition to the aims of the regional hunting plan, according to which it is necessary to eradicate the wild in the whole territory of the plain.
