George Cislaghi, member of the Management Committee of theTerritorial hunting area of Foggia he asked for clarification on the commissioner of the Apulian ATCs, a necessary step to make the new regulation. One of the main innovations is that which provides for the reorganization of the Sectors on a sub-provincial basis and, in the case of two provinces, on an interprovincial basis. In this way in Foggia the ATCs would be two or three.
A management of this type would entail, again according to Cislaghi, a restriction on provincial hunting mobility as regards the hunting for sedentary fauna, as well as new quotas for the issue of annual permits. The number of permits that each area can issue will be equal to the number of resident hunters, but always in compliance with the hunting pressure limits. Cislaghi wished a transition with commissioners, given that the application to existing ATCs the increase of hunters on the territory would not be tolerable.
The member of the Management Committee then recalled the total conversion of annual permits into daily permits which was authorized by the Province of Foggia despite the negative response of the Region and the continuous overrun of the hunting pressure. The Puglia Region was therefore urged to appoint the ATC commissioner, an event that was destined to take place by the end of 2017.
