The migratory step continues on our country which sees an advance of the Sassello Thrush and a large presence of Robin and other species defined as rare unlike the Peppola which still struggles to be seen.
Excellent passage of bottacci thrushes, also seen in large quantities in the South with a large number of reports in Calabria. Slightly anticipated passage in the center of the Apennines for the Redwing.
Constant and massive presence of the Pettirosso throughout the territory unlike Siskin and Finch observed in good numbers only in some areas. Absent the Brambles which still have not registered their appearance in various habitually frequented territories.
Excellent presence of Merlo observed in good numbers throughout the peninsula appearing in advance of the migration tables of the species that sees it as protagonist especially in the first ten days of October.
Like him, too Cannaiola recorded an excellent presence with an above average number of individuals ringed in some ornithological stations and still present in the last days of October, especially near the Prealpine lakes.
Frosoni, Black Nurses and Prispoloni have remained constant numerically as in recent years, while in the month of October a good number of small Luì and many Skylarks and Pispole were reported in rapid transit from the countryside of northern Italy to the Tyrrhenian coasts.
It should be noted that the vintage was excellent also in terms of the presence of species defined as rare. Still reports come from the South where several foreign Luì and a Red-throated Zigolo were observed in Linosa (AG), while in the Brescia area a Codazzurro and a foreign Luì have been observed and photographed.
