The regional councilor of Molise with responsibility for hunting, Christian Di Pietro, officially announced the approval of the hunting calendar 2017-2018 by the junta yesterday, Tuesday 6 June 2017. The text provides for the official opening of the activity next September 17th, while the closure was set for 10 February 2018.
There is no shortage of important news: what will happen specifically? The closing of the wood pigeon sampling will be on 10 February, while there will be several pre-openings. In particular, those for various species (dove first) are scheduled for 2, 3 and 9 September, while 13 and 14 September will be the days of pre-opening for quail hunting. With regard to wild boar, however, the hunt will be allowed from 15 October 2017 to 14 January 2018.
Di Pietro underlined the very careful work that favored the drawing up of the calendar, in line with last year's. Improvements have been made to accommodate main needs of Molise hunters, respecting the environment and the fauna. Finally, the councilor thanked the Region, the trade associations and the Territorial Areas of Hunting for their collaboration.
