The criticality relating to the risk of fires is over, but we must not forget those who guaranteed environmental safety. There Italian Federation of Hunting recalled the great commitment of the boar hunting team "Il Monco" di vicopisano, in the province of Pisa, always careful to keep the territory alive with cutting and cleaning operations fender stops, the wide avenues that prevent the spread of flames.
Consequently, the mitigation of the risk of fires was simpler. This same team was able, in 2016 alone, to reopen 75 thousand square meters of tracks and paths, while in 2017 there were 41500. The beltlai attribute a very strong value to the culture of the forest and local traditions, so much so that relations with the inhabitants of the mountain are excellent. It is these people who make hunters available plots of land which are then used as parking lots.
Federcaccia judged the passion of the Vicopisano beltlai good for the whole community: the effectiveness has been increased thanks to the establishment of the “Fratelli Del Moro” Fire Fighting Volunteers Group, which contrasts fires, floods and any risk to nature. Just two months ago the Tuscan municipality thanked the hunters themselves for the service rendered to the territory.
