There is a Tuscan municipality that has registered a important number of hunters as regards the registration and possession of a regular hunting card. It is talking about Pietrasanta (province of Lucca), the city that gave birth to Giosuè Carducci and which is now being talked about for this particular trend. It is about 600 double goals in total, as if to say that one in 40 residents go hunting, a significant average when compared with that of Tuscany (one hunter for every 50 inhabitants).
In Italy, however, it is a practitioner of hunting every 77 people. This is why in view of the 2019-2020 season a long line has formed at the town hall of Pietrasanta for the renewal of the card. Among other things, these statistics could change further, given that the deadline for renewing the card is 31 August.
All pending the launch of the hunting season that will start in Tuscany the 15 September and which, with legal limitations and some exceptions for certain species of birds, will continue until December.
