Umbrian hunting federation, together with the entire hunting mono including Italhunt and Urca (who due to a misunderstanding had remained out of the concordat in adiuvandum, in the precautionary petition advanced by the Region at the Council of State), express satisfaction for the reintegration of the two pre-opening days of 2 and 9 September next to migratory bird species indicated by regional hunting calendar, namely turtledove, wood pigeon, teal, gargane, mallard, hooded crow, jay and magpie.
In any case, the board has set the hearing to discuss the precautionary petition for 6 September. The satisfaction is more related to the principle of law, according to which the provisions issued by the Umbria Region and supported by the hunting associations were perfectly regular. While the culls of ungulates for the month of August are still penalized, therefore, we are confident that in the hearing on the 6th the Council of State will be able to definitively restore dignity and value to the regional hunting calendar, the result of scientific studies, data collection, censuses and elaboration of prudent and prudent slaughter plans, in order to guarantee the well-being of animal populations and biodiversity and, at the same time, the right to hunt for those authorized by the laws in force.
