Il Regional Administrative Court for Veneto, expressed his opinion on the appeal of animal rights extremists and partially accepted it and, as a result, annulled the resolution of the Regional Council number 764 of 16 June 2020 with which the Region approved the Hunting Calendar. Specifically by censoring the part in which it includes the Pochard and the Lapwing among the huntable species, and in the part in which it cumulatively admits the pre-opening of the hunt, also granting the withdrawal from the 1st to the 10th of February, for the species of the Magpie, the Jay, the Black Crow and the Hooded Crow.
We are talking about the appeal that was filed by LIPU extension (Italian Bird Protection League), WWF, ENPA extension (National Animal Protection Authority), LAV (Anti-Vivisection League), LAC (League for the abolition of hunting).
