The Regional Council of Liguria approved some important exceptions regarding the regulation of the wild boar hunting in collective form in this territory. We are talking about the proposals made by Alessandro Piana, vice president of the same council and councilor for agriculture. The minimum number of operating components in teams for a hunting trip was reduced by 25%, a measure that refers to Territorial Areas of Hunting and Alpine Areas.
Among other things, as pointed out by Piana, from now on people outside the team can also participate in the hunt, specifically hunters who are part of other teams and who are not registered, so as to reach what is the quota established. According to the legislation it will also be possible to temporarily review the hunting areas, which often go beyond the municipal boundaries in order to allow hunters of the same municipality to hunt within the limits of the municipal territory.
Piana also mentioned how the hunting of ungulates will be able to continue despite the limitations imposed for travel and to curb contagions from coronavirus. The activity, in fact, is considered essential to contain the number of wild animals and reduce the damage to agricultural activities, in addition to protecting the safety of people.
