Salvatore Pirina, better known as "Zio Salvatoreddu", is making a name for himself for the feat he was capable of. The man was born in 1930 and he is therefore 86 years old: his blood, however, proved to be very cold, not to mention the aim, really infallible. The 86-year-old managed to break down a wild boar weighing 130 kilos near Arzachena, in the province of Olbia-Tempio. The episode dates back to three days ago, Sunday 18 December 2016, to be precise in the countryside of San Giacomo. Pirina has been a hunter for a lifetime e at 86 he continues to be part of his own big game company.
The image of the ungulate killed in this area of Sardinia immediately went viral. We have been talking about the killing of wild animals on the island, due to some infected animals (trichinella and swine fever) and the controversy over the "management" of carcasses. In particular, the ASL was accused of having employed too much time in intervening, a reconstruction that was later denied and returned to the sender.
