A great success for Sips of Ascoli Piceno, under the masterful organization of Antonio Antolini, which saw the participation of some of the best mute button on the Italian hound scene. Selective territories, naturally suited for hare hunting and the carrying out of zootechnical checks, together with the excellent organization by the Sips section of Ascoli contributed to the excellent success of the test. Twenty-four wetsuits that compared and challenged each other in the two days of testing, Friday and Saturday, from which the finalists were chosen from the sum of the scores.
Thanks to the results of the two days, the wetsuits of Andrea Cataldi, Raoul Fortuna, Luciano Ciccarelli and Giordano Tarabelli won a place in the final. The trophies offered by the Sips of Ascoli wanted to commemorate two great men and hounders, Dante Chiarini and Carli Erasmo.
Because competitive hounds are not an end in themselves.
It is also an opportunity to remember those who preceded us and marked the way, in the name of gratitude and respect for those who left us but will continue to live in the hearts of those who shared certain emotions. The first Trophy named after Carli Erasmo was won by the Italian short-haired hound Iaribi di Appignano of Andrea Cataldi, who was awarded Cac and Cacit with 184 points. The Dante Chiarini Trophy was instead won by the pack of Italian bloodhounds strong hair by Raoul Fortuna.
Special thanks go to the owners of the funds who made their land available, to the bodies that authorized the event, to the accompanying persons and to the expert judges (Elena Marcaletti, Gianni Turcatti, Giancarlo Fiaschetti, Fabio Butini, Andrea Paliotta, Gianluca Di Giannantonio and Marcello Canonaco) which allowed the good performance of the test in the three days.
