Conditioning public opinion with the press is very simple. In the case of hunting it is even more so. A clear example of this is one of the latest articles published on Il Fatto Quotidiano signed by Fabio Balocco. The latter has lashed out against an initiative promoted by the provincial Federcaccia of Crotone which has agreed with a primary school to have the hunters in the classrooms e talk to children about the environment.
The author of the piece then used a strong comparison to make his point of view understood: "Inviting a hunter to talk about the environment is a bit like inviting a serial killer to talk about love". In addition to the exaggeration of hunting responsible for the extinction of various animal species, in the article it refers to minors injured or killed due to hunting or the possession of shotguns in the family. Balocco then deepened the political situation and the lack of discussion of article 842 of the Civil Code.
It would be appropriate, unlike what happened in some television broadcasts, that Il Fatto Quotidiano would also publish a replica of the hunting world in order to respond to all these accusations which are not new if we consider those who profess animalism. Wanting to quote a famous theatrical performance, one only hopes that the expectation of a replica is not like that of Godot.
