“Yesterday the Legislative Assembly of the Liguria approved the League's amendment to the regional bill no. 65, which adapts the text of law 29/1994 to the jurisprudential address expressed last February 17 by the Constitutional Court on the 'rules for the protection of wildlife homeotherm and for hunting '. In Liguria this theme concerns, in particular, wild boars. The possibility of using hunters was therefore provided, also gathered in teams, with the operational involvement of the 'territorial hunting areas' and the competent 'Alpine districts', for those wildlife control activities that are limited to the use of ecological methods (for example, the removal with dogs).
With regard to the implementation of the abatement plans, which are directly in charge of the staff of the regional wildlife and environmental surveillance unit, the second modification introduces the possibility of availing itself, where deemed useful, of the support of specially trained hunters, according to programs consistent with the indications of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (Ispra) ”. This was stated by the regional councilor Alessio Piana (League).
