Hunting: Lombardy, the process of amending the regional hunting law continues; positive comments from the hunting associations.
Work on the draft amendment to the hunting law presented, among others, by Mauro Parolini, continues in Commission VIII of the Lombardy Region. According to the leader of the PDL-Forza Italia in the regional council, “it was extremely positive to listen to the observations of the hunting associations. This is an indispensable work of comparison to modify a legislation that is now more than twenty years old (Regional Law 26/93) ”. Parolini considers it necessary “to arrive at a text more capable of meeting the new needs of the hunting world, integrating them with more effective protection of the environment. The passion of the many people who practice hunting must be recognized and valued, with the right attention to environmental protection that hunters have never questioned. The hunter is not an enemy of the environment, but himself contributes, with a regulated practice, to guaranteeing the right balance of fauna ".
Without forgetting, Parolini concludes, that "the bill presented finally captures the need for an update following the evolution of the socio-cultural context and the changed European regulatory context, with particular reference to Directive 2009/147 / EC".
