Thanks to the memorandum of understanding signed with Marche region, the selective killing of wild boars began in theTerritorial hunting area of Pesaro 1. The activity, says the Region, “is concerning areas closed to the hunting sampling. Two areas, in particular, on which action has already been taken: the localities of Rancitella and Ponte Armellina ”. Both, highlights the vice president Mirco Carloni, “fall into the municipality of Urbino, an area where wild boar is causing damage most and where organic crops are widespread.
The Provincial Police and the ATC-PS1 immediately seized the opportunity offered by the protocol signed, giving life in perfect synergy to a collaboration aimed at reduce the impact of wild boar on agricultural production". The control activity, carried out by the agents of the Provincial Police with the support of the teams of hunted and shot indicated by ATC-PS1, it will continue actively in the coming months to protect farms.
