Hunting: Molise, authorized by the regional council to hunt wild boar in the areas close to the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
The Second Council Commission approved, on the proposal of the Regional Council, the Calendar and the Regulations for the 2014/15 hunting season. Satisfied the President, Carmelo Parpiglia: “The Calendar takes into account the opinion of the Higher Institute for Environmental Promotion and Research, the needs for the protection of the Molise faunal heritage and the requests received from the federation and trade associations. Furthermore - continues the Parent Company of Italia dei Valori at Palazzo Moffa - we accept some of the Council's Resolutions, including 43/2014, for the protection of the brown bear ".
The Delegate to the Hunting Cristiano Di Pietro, urged by the Mayors of Rocchetta al Volturno, Scapoli, Cerro al Volturno, Castel San Vincenzo, Pizzone, Colli al Volturno, Montenero Valcocchiara and Filignano, presented an amendment that overcomes the constraint of wild boar hunting, in the contiguous area to the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, exclusively with the turn and with a single limiere dog.
“Neither the Province of Campobasso nor that of Isernia - explains Di Pietro - have started the courses prescribed by Ispra for the qualification for collective hunting, the so-called endorsement. An institutional gap that cannot be discharged on hunters. This is why, even in the territories of the Municipalities administered by the Mayors who have made the Region aware of this issue, it will be possible hunt the wild boar as in the rest of Molise. It is a simple one-year derogation and it will be my care to summon, in a short time, the two competent provincial councilors so that the problem can be solved before the next hunting season ".
More in detail, the hunting year will start on 21 September and will end on 31 January 2015, with the sole exception of the Special Protection Areas (SPAs) where it will start on 1 October.
