A resolution presented by the councilors Claudio Sacchetti, William Casoni and Roberto Ravello establishes, on the basis of the indications provided by a specific working group in charge of identifying, among the 142 areas of the Natura 2000 Network, those where hunting is able to influence the state conservation of protected species or habitats.
The same resolution provides for the suspension of hunting activities in the 12 sensitive areas and therefore to be submitted to the second level of the incidence assessment procedure (Dorsale Monte Ebro-Monte Chiappo, River Tanaro and Stagni di Neive, Wetlands of Fossano and Sant ' Albano Stura, Altopiano di Bainale, Alto Caprauna ", Alte Valli Stura and Maira, Lama del Badiotto and Garzaia della Brarola, Val Grande, Alte Valli Anzasca, Antrona and Bognanco, Alta Val Strona and Val Segnara, Val Formazza, Alps Veglia and Devero -Monte Giove) and in the 13 areas partially included in natural parks or located in Provinces with a wildlife-hunting plan subject to strategic environmental assessment procedures, for which further investigations are necessary (Xerothermic Oasis of Val di Susa-Orrido di Chianocco, Rocciamelone, Old Mill in the Po river belt, Monte Fenera, Alta Valsesia, Marshes of San Genuario and San Silvestro, Maritime Alps, Torrente Orba, Greto de llo Scrivia, Marcarolo huts, Po River Vercelli-Alessandria section, Novara Garzaie, Vercelli rice fields).
The same working group must receive within 30 days the incidence reports of the Territorial Areas of Hunting, of the Alpine Districts and of the private hunting institutes in whose territory the aforementioned areas fall within or are close to, as well as the observations of the most representative non-profit associations. in charge of environmental protection.
