La Federcaccia Sardinia informs that the Tar with decree n. 00247 of 3 October 2019 suspended rabbit hunting and set the hearing on 16 October; also on the same day, the Region published decree no. 43/2019 to supplement the hunting calendar 2019-2020 which allows hare and partridge species to be hunted on 6 and 13 October. Here are the articles in detail:
ART. 1) The hunting of the Sardinian Partridge and the Sardinian Hare is allowed on the days of 6 October 2019 and 13 October 2019 in the free territory of the Region of Sardinia and in the self-managed ones referred to in Annex 1 which is an integral part of this Decree.
ART. 2) The maximum daily game bag it is two Sardinian partridges per hunter per day and one Sardinian hare per hunter per single day with a seasonal limit of four partridges and two Sardinian hares per hunter.
ART. 3) The hunting of the aforementioned two species is forbidden in the Self-managed not indicated in the attached list 1 which is an integral part of this Decree.
ART. 4) Pursuant to and by effect of art. 97 LR 23/98 it is forbidden to the members of the self-managed companies who have not carried out i censuses to hunt the two species (Sardinian hare and Sardinian partridge) also throughout the region.
ART. 5) In order to promptly monitor the collection of the two species in question, each hunter, within 48 hours of killing each garment, must communicate to the Nature Protection and Forestry Policies Service (email address: [email protected]), "Name, surname, date of birth of the hunter, place, date of slaughter, presumable age (young or adult) and sex of the animal taken", reporting in the subject the words "Monitoring Sardinian Hares and Sardinian Partridges sampling - hunting calendar 2019/2020 ".
