" Agriculture commission, despite the government's contrary opinion on some points, considered qualifying for FdI, today approved the resolution presented by the rapporteur, senator The stone of Fratelli d'Italia sui damage caused to crops by the excessive presence of wildlife. It is a document that contains specific commitments for the government to deal with an increasingly expanding phenomenon and which requires articulated and targeted interventions ”.
This was declared by the senator of the Brothers of Italy Patrick La Pietra, group leader in the Agriculture Committee and author of the resolution. “In recent years there has been a continuous increase in the damage caused to agricultural and livestock activities, fish farming as well as biodiversity by wildlife. The phenomenon takes on the dimension of a real emergency in some areas of our country, so as to compromise the ability of the farmers and breeders involved to do business, with obvious repercussions in terms of profitability. For this it is necessary that the government tackle and definitively solve the problem of the imbalance of wildlife in our territory and the damage it generates for safety and public health.
Our resolution passed today is an important step, especially in light of the fact that the green light has come against the government's opinion on some qualifying points, such as the simplification of wildlife planning procedures and hunting activities; or the definition of a model of control of harmful and dangerous species; or, finally, the provision of a national system shared with regions and provinces to provide relief from the damage of wildlife. We now expect the government's commitment in line with the vote expressed by the Commission, which being without votes against, does not admit doubts or delays in time ”, concludes Senator La Pietra.
