THEItalian National Dog-loving Body (ENCI) has signed a new and important collaboration. Two days ago, Thursday 5 October 2017, the agreement with the Campania region and“Federico II” University of Naples, to be precise, the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production. The goal is to perfect the specialization and use of canine unit in hunting, the enhancement of areas to carry out dog activities, in addition to the development of studies and research on breeding and the purebred dog welfare.
The choice is not accidental, given that Campania is considered a territory of fundamental naturalistic value, not to mention the ferment that characterizes a high-level dog lovers. The collaboration has a strategic value, as it will allow carry out valuable zootechnical checks, setting up and implementing programs to safeguard the health of the dog, with a targeted interest in the selection and breeding.
The partnership must allow the achievement of other results. In particular, there will be room for the disease projects, on prophylaxis practices, sports medicine and technical-scientific assistance plans in the context of hunting dog. The ambition of a plan of this magnitude appears evident, but the bodies involved are aware of what the final goals will be.
