With a fantastic performance Riccardo Ranzani with his Sabatti 308 w con Multiradial barrel it is classified 1st of category (Juniores) and 1st absolute, moreover establishing the new Italian category record with 561 points out of 600. The best Italian shooters of each specialty participated in the competitions, coming from all Italian regions, even the most distant.
"I am really happy with how the race went and obviously with the title victory, however I could have done something more, I started the race with some uncertainty in the kneeling position where I paid for a position that was not too relaxed, perhaps due to a bit of tension, but then on the ground everything went well, the 10s came out really very easily and I managed to shoot as I wanted, in the last two series I really did a lot of 10s, so much so that the first series standing was a good 94 that whoever pulls standing at 300m knows how difficult it is to do. Then I had a slight drop but in the end the score (561/600) was more than enough not only to win the race, but also to set the new Italian record, all with a new rifle that made its debut this year in shooting. academic, and especially with a strong caliber like the 308 Winchester ”.
The final ranking:
1st Riccardo Ranzani (Sabatti 308w) Italian Free Weapon Champion 2017
2nd Giuseppe Conte (Keppeler 6BR)
3rd Andrea Poldi (Grunig & Elmiger 6BR)
Le Sabatti MRR rods (Multi Radial Rifling) they proved once again to be up to all the sacred monsters in the sector. This victory is particularly significant for us because it is the first time that a production rifle has beaten much more expensive, hyper-specialized rifles created and optimized for this discipline. In addition, the competitors were all equipped with a specific caliber: the 6 BR, a small caliber with little recoil but extremely precise while the Sabatti Tactical, used by Riccardo Ranzani, was in the classic 308 Win. more powerful, quite accurate but with a much stronger recoil to manage.
But even in this case Multiradiali Sabatti rods made the difference together with Ranzani which obviously proved to be phenomenal as a shooter.
We are proud that a Italian series product has dispelled many clichés about the need for large budgets for the purchase of the rifle and that only Swiss and Germans could excel in this discipline. This victory crowns a truly exceptional season in which we have been competitive in all categories and with all calibers. Sometimes even with standard ammunition like the 308 Flakes Perfecta. A big thank you to Riccardo and to all the athletes who have chosen this year Sabbath to proudly carry the flag of Italian excellence around the world.
