A hunter managed to shoot down in the US state of Montana un elk that may have rewritten world record history. In fact, as reported by The Bozeman Daily Chronicle, the animal was captured after a single hunt during the local season of bow hunting (from 3 September to 16 October to be precise). In particular, the record may have been achieved in relation to the size of the horns (more correctly known as antlers), based on what was recorded by the Boone and Crockett Club.
For the moment we are talking about 429 inches (the current record of 412), or about ten meters. For the official measurement, however, it will be necessary to wait at least 60 days, that is the time necessary for allow the horns to dry completely. Nevertheless, there is a strong optimism for the achievement of the primacy.
Among other things, the moose is spoken of as the largest American specimen ever captured in the last 48 years. The Montana hunter who shot the deer has decided to remain anonymous, therefore for the moment it will not reveal its identity. In addition, he also kept the secret of the exact location where the capture took place. In about two months we will certainly have more details on this probable record.
