Le trade associations, representing the arms production and distribution sector, they write to the Ministry of Economic Development to ask for the reopening of the retail stores. ANPAM file, National trade association of the arms sector, together with Assoarmieri, national association of traders, intermediaries and enthusiasts of common weapons, have explicitly requested the Ministry of Economic Development to include armories among the activities that can reopen with phase 2.
If companies in the sector of sporting and civilian weapons and ammunition are considered among those for which it is possible to resume activities, the exercises of minute sale of weapons and ammunition - the armories - are currently excluded; this despite constituting the only authorized marketing tool on the national territory of the products in the sector, subject to a Public Safety license.
Consequently, the suspension of the activity of these exercises does not allow the full resumption of the production activities of the industrial companies of arms sector, and does not even put the professional athletes of the sports shooting federations in the correct shooting conditions, who should fully resume their activity shortly. By renewing their openness to dialogue with institutions, ANPAM and Assoarmieri recall the importance of effective and consistent recovery of a sector that it represents is an absolute excellence on the national and international territory, with over 7 billion of direct and indirect value, 2.334 thousand companies and 87 thousand employed, and is therefore positioned as central to the country's economic recovery.
