La Regional Council of Piedmont met for the approval of the hunting calendar 2017-2018 after the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture Giorgio Ferrero. As usual, the main hunting periods can be summarized. The turtledoves on 2, 3 and 6 September in the Territorial Areas of Hunting and in the Alpine Districts, based on the resolutions of the management committees and exclusively by temporary posting.
As for instead black crows, gray crows, magpies and jays, it will be necessary to refer to 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23, 24 and 27 September, always in the same way and with the early closure of the hunt. Hare, minilepre and wild rabbits they can be hunted from September 24 to December 9, while for red partridges and gray partridges the numerical withdrawal plans must be followed in the period 1 October-30 November.
Having said that for the pheasant the period will go from 24 September to 30 November, for aquatic and turdids the start of the hunt was set for 1 October, while the closures are different. For example, the woodcock and snipe hunt will close on December 31st, the a song thrush, redwing and cesena thrush on January 10, unlike mallard, moorhen and teal (closing on January 20, 2018). Finally, the fox hunting it will start on October 1st and end on January 31st.
