La Regional Council of Calabria in the session of Friday 26 July it approved the hunting calendar for the 2019-2020 season. Pending formalization by the Region with the dissemination of the text of the Resolution passed for approval and subsequent publication in the BURC, the Coordination of the Calabrian Hunting Associations (Italian Federation of Hunting, Free Hunting, Enalcaccia, Arci Caccia, ANUUMigratoristi, Italcaccia and EPS) positively underlines how the calendar substantially follows its own discussed proposal, analyzed and approved by the Wildlife Hunting Council.
In particular, it should be noted that subject to changes that we have not been made aware of, there will therefore be three pre-opening days, set on 1, 7 and 8 September - after the agreed waiver of a fourth day - which will be allowed in the first two on taking of the dove and the possibility of using retriever dogs for the recovery of the animals killed in the 3 days; general opening scheduled for September 15th and closing on February 10th; Lapwing and pochard were kept huntable, thanks to the decision of the Region not to accept the invitation of the Ministry of the Environment for their exclusion from the species subjected to hunting.
For training and to train dogs this will be allowed from yesterday, July 27, until September 14, with the exception, of course, in the pre-opening days mentioned above. A substantially balanced schedule, which responds to general expectations and, above all, has taken into account the results resulting from the discussion and consultation tables.
