Arci Caccia focuses on the risk of failure for the Tuscan Hunting Calendar which would suffer the same fate as the Ligurian one: “We ask for certainties and rights for hunters”.
In a recent meeting held on May 28th, the Regional Offices illustrated to us the state of serious difficulty that we will be able to face in the coming weeks as regards the Hunting Calendar. The law 20/2000 with which the Hunting Calendar for Tuscany is established is being examined by the Constitutional Court and also following the recent rulings of the Supreme Court on the Liguria Calendar, which established that these acts must be issued by administrative and not by law, it would seem very likely a similar sentence also regarding our Calendar.
The Offices are doing their utmost to find technical solutions first of all to cancel the proceedings in the Constitutional Court and, secondly, in the event of rejection of the Calendar, to prepare a Council Resolution accompanied by substantial documentation that you are looking for. to keep hunting times as unaltered as possible. A work, that of the Offices, absolutely meritorious and which demonstrates a deep attention to the problems in place but which, however, is orphaned by the support of those who have been called by the citizens to govern: politics.
In such an incandescent climate where anti-hunt associations are on a war footing, there is a strong risk that, in the absence of mediation and strong political action, in the first place of the competent Councilor, every action risks sinking yet another time in the courts. Unfortunately it seems that in many cases hunting is remembered only for electoral purposes and often with populist positions rather than with a wide-ranging political elaboration.
But why since 2000, when a hunting calendar was launched by law in a far-sighted way, is this only now being questioned? The answer must be sought in the first place in the hunting world, in that part that in recent years has only tried to pursue demagogy, often supporting and relying on politicians whose sole purpose was to keep their seat while also fishing in the electorate of hunters.
A road that has produced the “upside down masterpiece” represented by the now famous art. 42 of the Community Law (which modified art. 18 of Law 157/92) which was approved amidst the thunderous applause of the hunting acronyms that refer to Face Italia. The only voice out of the chorus was Arci Caccia who immediately highlighted the enormous risks we would face and, unfortunately, we were right.
Other than hunting in February! Today we find ourselves having to defend tooth and nail on January 31st. Almost all the regions have now had to launch calendars with early closures to important species, such as turdidae.
Now let's take a big risk in Tuscany too: what to do? For our part, we cannot but require a strong commitment from everyone, the famous Politics in the first place, because we will not be able to forgive anyone for the loss of certainties and rights for hunters.
PS - In these days of mourning and destruction we can only gather around the Emilian populations hit by the earthquake. The historically affected areas were not classified as highly seismic: so why waste time and spend money to build more solid warehouses? So who has ever believed the prophets of doom? ... So they are just pessimists afflicted by the syndrome of defeat ...
But anyhow: still dead to cry!
