Arci Caccia Tuscany issued the following statement: “We have learned from the media about the new action of provocation perpetrated by some elements of theanimal rights extremism against some hunters around Pisa. For this reason we ask the police for accurate and rapid investigations that lead to the clarification of the facts beyond the utterances of the animal rights activists. The multiplication of what are often real aggressions by fanatics with their faces covered are a source of growing concern for us.
These gangs, in which, according to the reports of the judiciary, even real terrorists infiltrate, are becoming more and more violent, so much so that on many occasions the police had to intervene to help the victims, often chosen from among the older followers or in any case from isolated hunters, who have suffered damage to equipment and vehicles, when not real injuries. For this we ask the police to increase the degree of attention towards these groups and their raids.
They not only harass irreproachable citizens who carry out an activity required by law e completely legitimate, but they play a dangerous game for themselves and for others. Indeed, although we do not doubt the wisdom and self-control of Diana's followers, we invite them to do not take any provocation, they are still men, who can panic and act according to the instinct of conservation. We challenge anyone, finding himself alone, in an isolated place surrounded by about ten hooded fanatics yelling at him and shoving him, if they do not do worse, to get their hands on their reactions ”.
