Arci Caccia: Veneto, consultation table to give certainty to hunters; the president Ezzelini Storti on the outcome of the meeting in Orgiano (VI) between hunting associations and politicians.
Statement by Giuliano Ezzelini Storti, president of the Arci Caccia del Veneto: “I participated with interest and hope in the initiative of 24/07 in Orgiano (VI), organized by all hunting associations, with the participation of Politics. I hoped that for the first time, among all the hunting associations and politics, a shareable solution could be found to address the problems that torment the Venetian hunters and instead, unfortunately, I was wrong.
As I was able to see and declare from the stage, we lost an important opportunity and everything turned into a "caciara" for or against someone. Even more annoying is to note, from somewhat biased reports of the meeting, that from Orgiano there was a winner and a loser: those who claim this are bad for hunting and hunters!
In Orgiano, unfortunately, everyone lost, first of all the hunting associations that (involuntarily!) Lent themselves to an electoral ring: something our passion certainly did not need! I believe, we believe, however, that from Orgiano, for the sake of the hunters, we have to come out with something. I therefore allow myself, on behalf of Arcicaccia Veneto, to officially reformulate the proposal that I said from the stage on Wednesday as part of my speech: let's all sit, I mean everyone, around a table!
Arcicaccia Veneto therefore asks and proposes to the Regional Councilor for Hunting Stival to convene, in an institutional setting, a meeting between all the interlucutors of Orgiano, from the Regional Presidents of the hunting associations, to his colleagues Donazzan and Ciambetti up to the Hon. Sergio Berlato, to seek shared solutions and proposals on: fixed hunting stalks after the sentence of the Supreme Court; Hunting in derogation; Hunting Calendar.
Can we say that this sort of "concertation table" is a trap for someone? It just seems like common sense to us. Venetian hunters have the right to go and practice their passion in September with, finally, legal certainty: can we try to give it to them? "
