Three Universities: Naples Federico II, Leon and Košice have signed an agreement through which the critical points and strengths of wildlife-environmental management in the XNUMX EU countries will be analyzed, thus producing a vademecum shared by hunters, environmentalists, farmers and, mainly by governments and local administrations for a European Governance and a code of good practice aimed at the protection of biodiversity. The inter-university agreement was signed by the Pro-Rector of the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) Prof. De Vivo, the Vice-Rector of the Universidad de Leòn (Spain), Prof. José Luis Chamosa Gonzalez, and the Rector of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice (Slovakia) Jana Mojžišová.
A round table, coordinated by Dr. Simone Di Meo, expressed the different points of view of the categories directly interested in wildlife management. Anna Savarese of Legambiente, illustrated the successes and failures associated with protectionist management in protected areas; dr. Pasquale Raia of the “ex Frullone” Wild Animal Recovery Center, highlighted the importance of CRAS to ensure assistance to fauna in difficulty; Dr. Gian Luca Dall'Olio, President of Federcaccia, underlined how since ancient times the action of man has determined the current natural scenarios; dr. Pietro Pietrafesa of the CNCN has indicated in the environmental supply chain the way to follow in order to obtain sustainable and economically valid results; dr. Osvaldo Veneziano dell'Arci Caccia described the great possibilities for resident and migratory fauna in a collaborative management contest between the parties; dr. Sergio Sorrentino President of the ATC of the Metropolitan City of Naples confirmed the willingness of hunters to collaborate with environmental representatives for a management capable of guaranteeing a state of health for the habitats of Campania and Europe.
