Statement by the Regional President of Arci Hunting Puglia and National Vice President Giuseppe De Bartolomeo: “It's a distressing soap opera…. We will fight to ensure that our rights are certain and safeguarded. Hello friends hunters, this morning we finally had knowledge of the ordinance of the Council of State which suspended the old hunting calendar issued by the Puglia region. What basically emerges is that i Apulian hunters they can continue to go hunting albeit with limitations that we consider unfair and unjustified.
These limitations will then be assessed on the merits by the TAR which will set them a special hearing in a proceeding in which ARCI Caccia will appear, as already done in the past. ARCI Caccia has been and will always be at the side of Apulian hunters with a united spirit for the protection of the rights that compete with every category, albeit a minority one, but with an induced that also counts a few percentage points of GDP it takes on outlines that go far beyond a simple minority, as the uncompromising animal rights world defines it.
In this difficult moment, in this black page of hunting activity in Puglia we felt the need as ARCI Caccia of bring the puglia problem to the attention of the national control room. We felt the need to coordinate ourselves to call the hunting world back to unity in a difficult historical period for this category, a unity for those who feel the need to form a group, with those who are there, without constraints, marriages on the other hand are made in two and looking at the interests of our farmer friends. This is the hope, we are confident that our theses will be accepted by the TAR following the hearing on the merits that will be set to restore to the hunting world, this time everything, beyond the defiance, the just dignity it deserves.
