As disclosed by the Provincial Federcaccia of Bergamo, the ordinance of last March 3 which had established a series of areas of protection and surveillance to prevent the virus ofbird flu spread is no longer valid, therefore the bans imposed have been lifted. The protection zone, whose radius was 3 kilometers from the outbreak, included several territories of the Bergamasco. In detail, these are the following municipalities: Martinengo, Romano di Lombardia to the north of the railway, Morengo to the east of the Strada Statale 591, Cologno al Serio to the east of the same road, Ghisalba to the south of Via Mornico.
As for the surveillance area, however, the radius was 10 kilometers. The list was much broader: Urgnano, Ghisalba north of Via Mornico, Mornico al Serio, Palosco, Cividate al Piano, Cortenuova, Covo, Calcio, Fara Olivana con Sola, Isso, Barbata, Antegnate, Bariano, Fornovo San Giovanni, Mozzanica, Caravaggio north of the SP185 (Rivoltana road), Brignano Gera d'Adda, Castelrozzone, Pagazzano, Lurano, Arcene east of the SS42, Pognano, Spirano, Verdello east of the SS42, Comunuovo, Zanica, Grassobio south of the southern ring road, Seriate south of the A4 motorway, Bolgare south of the A4 motorway, Bagnatica south of the A4 motorway, Telgate, Costa di Mezzate south of the A4 motorway, Calcinate, Cavernago, Romano di Lombardia south of the railway, Morengo west of the SS591, Cologno al Serio west of the SS591.
I 21 and 30 days minimum for the two areas, cleaning and disinfection have elapsed in the farm where the outbreak was found, therefore prohibitions no longer make sense to exist, as well as the restrictions imposed on the entry and introduction of huntable game.
