In the section "Thought-killer"Today, Thursday 7 December 2017, the Provincial Federcaccia of Brescia spoke of the note of the General Directorate "Veterinary Welfare" of the Lombardy Region. The document provided a number of clarifications on the retention of decoy ducks after the spread of avian flu. Throughout the region it is forbidden to use live calls of anseriformes and charadriformes for hunting until next January 31st.
In the areas most at risk it is not possible to breed birds outdoors, so we have chosen to put in place all possible precautions to avoid contact with thewild bird life. The rules are also very precise for decoy ducks. The keeping of these birds cannot take place in places where they are used as live calls. Furthermore, the detention itself must take place indoors or through relaying in a totally fenced area covered by nets.
There must be one in the detention area water reserve, but the latter cannot be fed by the reservoirs to which wild birds have access. In the event that poultry is present, then the breeding of the latter requires an area totally and physically separate from that of the calls. The keeper is obliged to guarantee the normal rules of hygiene, both personal and general.
