Beretta has officially announced, through a press conference, the acquisition of a new and important brand, Victrix. This is the brand based in Cazzano Sant'Andrea, in the province of Bergamo, and which specializes in the production of high quality and workmanship rifles. The weapons are manufactured in the Rottigni mechanical workshops, whose current CEO has become a senior product manager (a figure who usually deals with business organization) for long rifled guns on behalf of the Gardone Val Trompia group.
With this announcement, Beretta will have the opportunity to market rifles with the Bergamo gun brand, without forgetting that there will be no overlap with another brand, Sako. The Brescia-based company wants to aim at new slices of the market, in particular the military and "law enforcement" sectors. Some carbines are already available for marketing while another weapon is being developed, specifically the calibers that Sako herself did not want to produce.
What will happen to the sporting gun sector instead? The new acquisition allows Beretta to be part of the rifle sector for the long distance shooting, but it should not be forgotten that with Victrix the range of hunting weapons of technical quality. Rottigni's CEO, Giuseppe Valtorta, will immediately have the task of creating a gun service for rifles.
