This is the text sent by the Marche Region to hunters from the Marche region as reported by the Regional Federcaccia: “Today the Marche Regional Administrative Court pronounced the ordinance on the appeal promoted by the Environmentalist / Animalist Associations against the hunting calendar 2021/2022 of the Marche Region. Unfortunately, we must note that the appeal was accepted in some of its parts. This means that the Hunting Calendar is essentially modified as follows:
it is forbidden to take the Wild turtledove, consequently the special card to record the felling of turtle doves must not be returned to the ATC;
it is forbidden to take the Lapwing;
the game bag of the Lark is set at a maximum of n. 5 daily items and n. 25 annual heads;
the use of any type of recall is prohibited (alive or artificial) for the withdrawal in derogation of the cancellation, where permitted.
The commitment of the Region, both from a technical and legal point of view, to maintain a satisfactory hunting calendar has in any case determined positive results, in fact, the following are maintained:
- the pre-opening to aquatic people (Mallard, Teal, Garganey);
- the pre-opening at quail;
- general opening on September 19th;
- the 2 additional days of hunting from stalking at migratory species in the months of October and November;
- the withdrawal periods of wood pigeon;
- the withdrawal of City pigeon and Collared dove with the use of artificial decoys, where permitted;
- the withdrawal of the canceled, where permitted, but without the use of callouts.
We sincerely thank the Italian Hunting Federation, the National Association of Free Regional Hunting Marche and the Federative Committee Arcicaccia Marche who, with their lawyers, intervened to oppose the appeal as well as theATC AN2 who had been called into question.
