Enrico rossi, Governor of the The Tuscan Regional Authority, has published in the last few hours a message via his Facebook profile, referring to to drought and fires. The latter have combined into what has been defined a "hard summer". Furthermore, according to Rossi, the animals have suffered a lot: "A state of calamity cannot be proclaimed and not taken into account in the definition of the hunting calendar".
The president recalled how it is the local authority's intention to adopt a measure for protect the fauna at risk precisely because of the drought. Finally, in the post, Rossi wished full sharing by environmentalists and citizens of common sense, but also "Truly animal and nature lovers hunters".
The problem triggered the alarm a few days ago: in September there is even the risk of water rationing, also because it seems that there will be no rain until the middle of next month. The 2017-2018 hunting calendar of Tuscany foresees that hunting officially begins on the third Sunday of September and ends on the date of 31 January 2018.
