The game of parts
We at Enlcaccia in Rome have always supported the validity of the ATC institution as a tool for managing the territory, which would gather around a table all the souls and sensitivities, not "anti", really interested in conservation and to the conscious use of resources. Faithful supporters of the formula that sees the hunter withdraw the accrued interests of the faunal capital, in the name and on behalf of the community, we have made ourselves available to work so that this project would become, first a shared goal, and subsequently a reality, taking a clear position towards of those, fortunately few, who still see today in the practice of hunting, a mere one-way sampling.
We are also convinced that the future of hunting pass through the creation of economic and environmental resources that can be used by the community in general, in perfect agreement with farmers and their legitimate interests.
We are also aware that the management logics that can be applied in small towns and rural communities are very different from those we face in the Roman reality where most hunters, inevitably, "live" campaign in a different way, and in many cases occasional.
Having said that, we have asked since the first meetings of the ATCs, and even before those of the recognized AAVVs, that the delicate question of wildlife restocking should take precedence over the others, and possibly preceded by environmental remediation and restoration.
We proposed to work on the ZRC, carrying out within them those projects for the reintroduction of the most endangered resident species, which especially in the first years need adequate protection.
We also asked for a review of the canine areas, and to make some of them fit together in the ZRC, foreseeing, among other things, reintroduction projects that the neighboring areas would enjoy, based on the experience of neighboring Croatia.
After two years none of this has been achieved, on the contrary, we continue to witness the "game of parts" of those who claim to manage the territory with tactics that solve the contingent problem, linked to mere questions of political opportunity, ignoring a strategic project because the guarantees of success are long-term.
Today, in the ATC RM2, we are witnessing the umpteenth, hasty, solution of a “non-problem” with the reckless throwing of hares close to the dog training period and on the eve of the pre-opening September.
An awkward political misstep, even more than wildlife, as it exposes the hunting world to the legitimate criticisms of "others", with related appeals procedures, condemning the newly launched hares to a miserable extermination.
Enalcaccia di Roma is not there and distances itself from the operation of the ATC RM2 which denounces carelessness and lack of professionalism, considering this a prodromal act to the definitive exit from a comedy that continues to endlessly re-propose the game of parts.
