EXA 2010: Brescia 13 April 2010 - Today was Tuesday dedicated to women, like the last edition the Committee for Female Entrepreneurship (CIF) of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce, in the person of the President Dr. Anna Maria Gandolfi organized a round table entitled: “The Uniform in Evolution: Men and Women at the Service of the State and Citizens”, a meeting which, it is appropriate to say, closes the 29th edition of Exa with a flourish.
At the speakers' table, after the greeting of the President and the Councilor of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce, Bortolo Agliardi, the women in uniform attended, with a story to tell, an experience made of passion, great will and dedication.
The Deputy Prefect of Brescia, the Executive Commissioner of the Carmine, a carabiniere, Deputy director of the Anti-Fire Institute of Rome, the Commander of the Penitentiary Police of the Verziano prison, Dr. Moloccu for the Red Cross, each equipped with natural empathy and willingness to understand the needs of those who ask for help. The interventions, at times moving, told a glimpse of recent history of our country, many times photographed by the news in an aseptic and objective manner, but the testimonies in pink have been able to convey humanity for a job that is too often underestimated and in many cases a male prerogative .
The last intervention, testifying to female entrepreneurship, was made by the owner of the KIMAR company, Susanna Federici, who addressed the ever-current theme of reconciliation of the times, a success achieved thanks to the collaboration of the family who knew how to share and understand the various steps of professional and domestic growth. The final greetings, entrusted to the Prefect
Dr. Narcisa Brassesco Pace, underline the importance and the added value of the female presence in areas still, too often, predominantly male.
The Indian Consul, dr. Sarvajit Chakravarti, already in town for scheduled appointments, wanted to appreciate the Italian excellences that we remember being at Exa 2010: 271, of which 232 Italian and 39 foreign, representing 21 different nationalities. Classified in 58 belonging to the handicraft sector, 58 to commerce, 64 to industry and 3 to associations.
In the meantime, Exa is preparing for the next edition, with several initiatives already in the pipeline to celebrate its 30th birthday, an event of exceptional importance.
See you in 2011!
