Federcaccia Campania with an open letter asks the Region for an audience to discuss the hunting bill by announcing a protest.
With an open letter, Federcaccia Campania requests an official hearing from the President of the Region, the President of the Regional Council, the Group Leaders of the Regional Council to discuss the hunting bill by announcing a protest.
Below is the text of the letter to the Campania Region:
“The hunting bill has reached the Campania Regional Council. This after the "filter", first of an ad hoc sub-commission and, then, of the VIII Commission which dismissed it and transmitted it to the Council. In the first session of discussion, the Regional Councilors gave a stop to the legislative process with a series of amendments whose technical-legal basis remains a topic to be explored.
What we would like to point out here is the objective doubt on the existence of a majority in the Regional Council which, in line with the work of the VIII Commission, is able to carry out the approval of the bill on hunting. What has this reform, fatal for the hunting world in Campania, achieved? A postponement of the session with the burden of a series of amendments which, in fact, deny the work of the VIII Commission.
The hunting world is deeply concerned about this political attitude. Among other things, the Campania Region, in terms of the Hunting Calendar, finds itself in the paradoxical situation of not being able to approve the extension of the Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan, "conditio sine qua non" for the validity of the 2012-2013 Calendar.
This "combined provision" is counterbalanced by the energetic, rapid and resolute action with which a "legal monster" was created with article 34 of the 2012 Finance Law and, among other things, it also proceeded to '' approval of the implementing decree of the discipline referred to in article 34.
Federcaccia has already had the opportunity to clearly stigmatize the Campania Region, both in substance and in form, the methods, certainly not participatory for the interested parties, with which the legislation on hunting has been overturned with the article 34.
He had also done so by pointing out that he would have evaluated all the institutional, political and juridical paths to oppose the discipline of article 34. And among these the public demonstration for which he had, in vain, tried to involve the other hunting associations.
For all of the above, today, more than ever, Federcaccia requests an official hearing from the President of the Region, the President of the Regional Council, and the Group Leaders of the Regional Council.
Fidc Campania also announces that it is organizing a demonstration at the Palazzo della Regione to protest and make the voice of Campania hunters heard. The time has now expired: either we proceed quickly with the approval of the new regional law on hunting, with the necessary / appropriate amendments we have already elaborated and proposed, or we remain to preside over the territory and the institutions so that they repent and return to reason ".
