As announced by the regional section of Friuli Venezia Giulia of Italian Federation of Hunting, during the day today (Friday 15 February 2019) at the first light of the morning on the regional road number 252 in the vicinity of Flumignano (a few kilometers from Udine) has been recovered a wolf specimen. The operation was carried out by the hunting and environmental surveillance service of the FIDC itself.
The Regional Coordinator Salvatore Salerno has recovered an animal run over in the night which then turned out to be a wolf. The news, like the reference to our association, was picked up by all the local newspapers and broadcasters as a correct example of a meritorious public service.
The issue relating to wolves is increasingly topical and, as confirmed by this update, every Italian region is involved. Finally, the discovery was accompanied by a series of photos to better understand the type of Friulian specimen with which we had to deal.
