La Italian Federation of Hunting received a statement from the doctor nicoletta perco, which collaborates in the project for the reintroduction ofIbis Eremita on the European continent. As can be read in the note, the very rare bird is found in Puglia, specifically in Manfredonia (province of Foggia), a really important news. The doctor also pointed out that the Ibis has some blue rings with the identification number 029 and his name is idefix.
The letter also serves to ask for help with the bird monitoring, to be kept under control: in particular, people must be informed about its presence on the territory. Perco asked Federcaccia if it was possible for someone to go there and take pictures, a document that will undoubtedly be very useful. A further request is precisely to spread the news.
The Hermit Ibis must be considered a wild animal, therefore it must not be too close and must not even be fed (the temptation could be natural). Can be located via the "Animal Tracker" application: among other things, the doctor will be present at Nature Show of Foggia tomorrow, Sunday 12 June 2016 (hall 20).
