Hunting: Lombardy, the regional councilor Gianni Fava, "The delegations to agriculture, hunting and fishing will return to the Region within the year". The Councilor for hunters, "Synthesis between positions to improve the dialogue".
"The proxies in the field of agriculture, hunting and fishing from next October 1st will be able to be transferred to the Region, at the latest in any case by the beginning of next year, but I must specify that the competences have always been of the Region and not of the Provinces. And it is in this perspective that my presence is justified, in the meeting of the territorial hunting area 3 ″. The Councilor for Agriculture of Lombardy, Gianni Fava, said this last night, speaking in Viadana (Mantua), in front of a large audience of hunters. Among the various points under discussion, preceded by a detailed presentation of the state of health of the hares in the Lombardy region by the Zooprophylactic Institute of Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, the transfer of competence from the Province of Mantua to the Lombardy Region.
DIRECT INTERLOCUTION - “Interlocution on hunting matters will soon be direct with the Region - remarked Fava - but this does not mean that in the attribution of proxies Lombardy will leave the employees of the Province at home. There will be a transfer from the operational headquarters of the provincial administration to that of Ster di Mantova. Among other things, I asked my colleague Councilor Garavaglia for the possibilities of disbursing around 15 million euros to the Provinces this year as well, to allow the regular performance of functions in agriculture and hunting. In fact, anticipating the timescales envisaged by the Delrio reform ”.
SUMMARY - Councilor Fava then addressed a recommendation to the hunting environment, which sees around 70.000 shotguns throughout Lombardy: "Try to summarize between yourselves - he said -, so that the Department of Agriculture can to be faced with a univocal and not indented position in the world of hunting, otherwise everything becomes more complicated ”.
