Hunting and Fauna: Marche, too many damages caused to human activities; the regional councilor Busilacchi, "eliminate all wild boars from the Conero Park".
To collect the reports, the alarms and the protests is the regional councilor Gianluca Busilacchi who launches a "survey" on Facebook and Twitter to try to understand how citizens think. It is Busilacchi himself who writes, “I am for the total eradication of the wild boar, an animal brought to the Conero by man and which has absolutely no suitable habitat in a park bordered by the sea and road, so much so that it ends up invading inhabited parts. I am not aware that the wolf is not native to our area either, I would like to know how it ended up there. Could he have come from the Sibillini on the highway? I'm about to bring him back, before he mates further with wild dogs, increasing their aggression rate ”.
Despite the excellent action of the Conero Park on the selected killing of wild boars, says the councilor "this species is strongly increasing. And the consequences are the most disparate because even families who want to take their children for a walk are potentially in danger. Ours is a small park that has the sea on one side and the road on the other. We cannot allow ourselves to be in constant danger. Examples are the damage caused to the cars (photos of an accident), those to the Conero Golf club, or worse still to the fields of our farmers ”.
Busilacchi on the subject will present a question to the Regional Council after more than a year he had been among the signatories of an agenda approved by the majority and the opposition which sanctioned the eradication of the species. “I would like to know where we are in the matter. This act is now dated but the problems deriving from wild boars are daily news ”, adds the councilor.
The meeting between the president of the Conero Park Lanfranco Giacchetti and the prefect Alfonso Pironti, requested by the latter for updates on the matter, took place last week. "Our intention is to achieve eradication - he explains - but it is clear that being realistic a complete extinction of the species could never have it". In 2012 alone, 530 animals were killed and in the meantime the actions for their identification have also been increased: selectors and traps. "But before two or three seasons we could not reach a total downsizing".
