Hunting and Migration: ANUU Migratoristi provides information on the migration rate in Italy, "Migration slows down".
The new means of communication such as the internet and mobile telephony now make it possible to have in real time the news coming from the most attentive followers of Diana together with the ornithological observatories scattered throughout the Italian territory that in this period of passage of the ornithic species, fascinating in the months of August and September, present a slowed migration that will make the month of October remembered as a month under tone. In particular, excluding particularly localized areas on certain days in the provinces of Vicenza and Brescia, the song thrush is desired and, above all, is almost absent in the areas of central Italy. Indeed, when thrushes were observed in large numbers in Greece, evidently the species did not transit from the eastern Alps, diverting its migration towards the Peloponnese and forgetting the Italian migratory routes.
Apart from this species there is also the absence of the Blackbird, the Regulus, the scarcity of the Frosone and the Siskin, the latter arriving in the territories in the last week accompanied by the Peppola. However, it should be noted that not all species have a subdued transition. On the contrary, the Fringuello, the Blackcap and the Colombaccio are passing in the north and central Italy in a consistent way.
There is a good presence of Pipit and Fanello in the northern countryside, as well as of the Lark with particular peak days. Finally, the presence of the Redwing and Woodcock continues, observed in the area for several days. However, precisely because of these climatic conditions, the reading of the wings of the culled turdidae and the collection of the woodcock wings are very relevant to study the trend of the analyzed species in the best possible way.
