A meeting to talk about young and hunting. This is the theme of the evening of December 14 on Meet, the popular teleconferencing platform, which involved the president Massimo Buconi and many young people from the “FIdC Youth Group” in the first formal meeting of the Group, which has already presented a regulation to better fit into the Federcaccia structure.
Carmelo Violante, in the role of moderator of the video meeting, began by thanking "The boys from Vicenza and Novara, who gave the first impetus to the creation of this team". Violante then explained which are the main points to the attention of the Group: “Our goal is growth, to focus on those who have the future of hunting in their hands and will have to spread our passion. Then the communication, the Achilles heel of the hunting world. Finally, training, because in a complex world like our knowledge of what it means to 'go hunting' is fundamental. And again the management, to make the presence in the association known ”.
The other moderator then intervened, Marco Francesi, who explained the “new and different approach that we want to have. We need to know how to communicate with the groups we have close to us: green transition, communication, animal rights, environmental management. To do this we must have the ability to be a reference point in the hunting world, both online and locally". Francesi then presented the structure that he wants to set up: “Today we want to lay foundations from which to grow: this is not the point of arrival but of departure. We believe, thanks to those who are already part of our group today, that we have the skills, experience and the presence on the territory necessary to do well. We all have determination and desire to get involved ".
"I am proud to be here, this group is a great opportunity for our Federation", began the national President Massimo Buconi. “The Federcaccia structure is a great opportunity, but it can also present a downside - he continued - because it makes us big, but complex; solid and safe, but sometimes slow. We are structured around thousands of local groups and sections, which make us present even in the smallest realities, but we do not always manage to exploit our potential precisely because information does not spread as widely as it would be necessary ".
Another fundamental issue addressed by the President is that of the greater presence of young people in the executives. "Our managers are deeply linked to Federcaccia, they have done and are doing his good and we must thank them, but we must also think about training new cadres and involving young people and women in the work and decision-making tables. With the latter we have created the Group of Federcaccia hunters, in order to better coordinate and promote their initiatives and enrich our proposals. I believe that the same path can be done for young people, whose commitment and desire to do must be supported and valued and whose skills, I am thinking for example of familiarity with the world of social media, brought to the advantage of the Federation and the whole world of hunting.
“The goal is to be inclusive - he concluded Buconi - We must enhance all our components, give roles and spaces to valid and prepared people and renew ourselves to protect the future of our passion "(Source: Hunting Federation).
