Hunting in Trentino - ACT Gamekeeper: Success in two Poaching Operations.
THE HUNTING ACCIDENT TO TASSULLO - Sassudelli's comment
The president of the Trentino Hunters Association, Gianpaolo Sassudelli, comments on the hunting accident that took place on Sunday on the mountain of Tassullo.
«It's a bad moment, in which I think first of all of Samuele Torresani and his family. But this absurd incident, of which I hope the exact dynamics will soon be clarified, must open a strong reflection in the Trentino hunting world.
Hunting accidents in our province are very rare events, due to the type of hunting that is practiced and to the preparation and sense of responsibility widespread among hunters.
But even one case is intolerable to us. The conscious, prudent and safe use of weapons, in every situation, has always been one of the key points in the training of hunters and their qualification. A few days ago the Police Headquarters also released a vademecum on hunting safety, for which we are grateful.
Events like the one on Sunday must not happen, which is why our association will work even more on training and prevention. "
TWO BRILLIANT ANTI-BRACING OPERATIONS CARRIED OUT BY ACT HUNTING GUARDS IN VALLE DELL'ADIGE
In the first two days of hunting activity, the gamekeepers of the Trentino Hunters Association Francesco Pancheri, Alessandro Moiola and Guido Posser, coordinated by the area manager Lucio Luchesa, successfully completed two brilliant anti-poaching operations.
The first operation ended on Sunday 5 September just above the town of Mori with the arrest of a hunting permit holder (but not an ACT member) who was taking home, after having killed him, a male roe deer that did not comply with the type granted for sampling, without having marked it in the slaughter book as required by law. The gamekeepers, after a stalking that began even before daybreak, stopped the subject, complaining of the failure to sign the killing, which qualifies the gesture as an act of poaching in its most subtle forms. The animal was seized from the poacher and handed over to the Rector, owner of the management in the Mori Municipal Hunting Reserve.
The second operation, which ended on Monday morning, again saw the gamekeepers as protagonists who stopped a man (not a hunter) from Ronzo Chienis intent on drawing laces for the capture of roe deer on his farms located in the Pannone basin. Also in this case, the gamekeepers were stationed even before daylight and, once the poacher went to the dangerous instruments of death to fix them and make them operational, they stopped him and contested the poaching activity. The intervention of the agents of the Municipal Police Corps of Mori who assisted the ACT gamekeepers in the operations of identification of the poacher and seizure of prohibited hunting vehicles is ready.
Great satisfaction among the ACT leaders and among the Mori hunters, who thank the gamekeepers for their dedication and the Municipal Police Corps of Mori for the precious collaboration provided to the ACT security staff.
Once again the gamekeepers of the Trentino Hunters Association demonstrate that they play a fundamental role in the repression of poaching.
