Hunting Calendar: Umbria, the Province of Perugia takes sides against the pre-opening half days of the 2014-15 Hunting Season; "NO to closing at 12 noon on pre-opening days".
The proposal to close the pre-opening days of the hunt (those of 1 and 7 September) at 12:00 the Province of Perugia disagrees, as the chief hunting officer explains in a press release. “As already expressed in the Regional Council - reads the note - we do not agree that the two pre-opening days should end at 12 noon.
The hunting world has already suffered many injustices: we cannot add a further restriction to a sporting activity that has its own traditions, including that of being with friends and spending a day together as it is customary from sunrise to sunset. We therefore ask the Region and the Third Regional Commission to bring the calendar back to the "dawn to dusk" version with the times established by law.
We appeal to all hunting associations that have to defend hunters without distinction because, as mentioned, passing a restriction principle could involve some risk for the future. We are convinced that there is no reason to propose these methods of opening. We know that there are already some associations that have taken a stand against this proposal, while many in individual form are turning to our body not to pass this solution. We trust the good sense of the regional councilor to find the solution to get out of this misunderstanding ”.
