Hunting: Veneto, provisions approved by the Regional Council on the selection hunting of ungulates for the 2014-2015 Hunting Season.
The Regional Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Hunting Daniele Stival, approved the annual provisions for the activation of the selection hunt for ungulates for the 2014-2015 season. The act concerns 5 species: Fallow Deer, Alpine Chamois, Roe Deer, Red Deer and Mouflon. "The provision - specifies Stival - provides that the Provinces whose territory is included, in whole or in part, in the faunal area of the Alps, can regulate the selection hunting of these 5 species of ungulates, preparing adequate selective collection plans distinguished for class and age, having heard the opinion of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA). The Plans must also contain the authorized hunting periods and times and the individual daily game bag of samplings. "IT is - says Stival - a historical hunting activity in Veneto, which, among other things, lends a hand to the environment and to the balance of the ecosystem, allowing only selectively to hunt a specific number of animals" .
